Terms & conditions

These terms govern every hire made through Loaner. They’re written in plain English on purpose — if anything is unclear, ask us before you book.

1. The agreement

When you book a dress through Loaner you’re hiring it, not buying it. The dress remains our property at all times. Your booking is confirmed once the hire fee has been paid.

2. Accounts

You need an account to book. Keep your details accurate and your password private — bookings made through your account are your responsibility.

3. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Only the hire fee is charged at checkout. The bond is a temporary pre-authorisation (hold) placed on your saved card around pick-up or dispatch; it is released after the dress is returned on time and in good condition, and only captured — in part or full — where our returns and damage policy applies. By booking you authorise this hold and any capture under that policy.

4. Hire period

Your hire runs from the pick-up date to the return date shown on your booking, inclusive. Late returns attract a fee of 20% of the hire price per day, captured from the bond hold first.

5. Care of the dress

Treat the dress as if it were a favourite you own. Don’t wash, iron or alter it — professional cleaning is included and alterations of any kind are treated as damage. Keep it away from fake tan on application day (we say this with love, and from experience).

6. Cancellations, damage and loss

Cancellations, damage and loss are handled under our returns, cancellations and damage policy, which forms part of these terms. If a dress is lost, not returned, or damaged beyond repair, the replacement price is the dress’s recommended retail price (RRP) as shown on its listing at the time of booking, less any bond already held.

7. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim connected to a hire is limited to the amount you paid for that hire.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you book is the one that applies to your hire.
